How it works
How selling surplus wire works
Four steps from a photograph to a cleared bay. No inspection appointment to wait for, no consignment agreement and no obligation to accept the offer.
-
01
Submit inventory details and photos
Use the quote form or email. The useful details are the wire type, conductor metal, gauge, voltage, approximate footage, condition and the city where the material sits.
-
02
We review the material
We check what the cable is, how much is left on each reel, and whether we have a use for it. If a tag is unreadable or a size is missing, we ask one specific question.
-
03
Discuss pricing and logistics
You get an offer with the terms in writing: what is being bought, the price, who loads, who pays for freight, and when it can be collected.
-
04
Arrange pickup or shipping
We collect on the agreed date, or you ship if that is easier. Heavy reels, cranes and dock restrictions are planned before the truck is dispatched.
What to have ready
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Type and jacket marking | THHN, XHHW, TC-ER and 15kV cable are valued very differently. |
| Conductor metal | Copper and aluminum are priced on different markets. |
| Size and count | 500 kcmil single conductor and #12 THHN are not the same transaction. |
| Footage per reel | A part reel is priced on what is on it, not the original length. |
| Condition | Unused overstock, partial reel, removed from service or damaged. |
| Location and access | Dock, ground level, forklift, gate hours and turning room. |
| Photos | Reel tag, jacket print, cut end and a wide shot of the lot. |
What happens after you send it
We read the request, look at the photos and come back with either an offer or a question. If the material is outside what we buy, we say so directly rather than leaving you waiting. If it is a fit, the offer includes the terms, and nothing moves until you accept.
Most requests get a first response within one business day. Large lots with dozens of reel tags can take longer because each size has to be checked.
Process questions
Do I need to prepare an inventory before contacting you?
No. A list by size and footage is enough, and photos of the tags fill the gaps. If the lot is large, a rough count per pallet is fine to start.
Who arranges the truck?
We do, once an offer is agreed. If your site requires a specific carrier or a vendor packet, tell us and we will work within it.
What if the wire is not what the photos showed?
We will talk about it before anything is loaded. An offer is based on the description and photos, and a material difference changes the number.
Do you sign a bill of sale?
Yes, the paperwork is agreed with the offer. If your company needs a purchase order, a bill of lading or a release form, say so at the start.
Start with the photos
A reel tag and a jacket print answer most of the questions. Send them and we will take it from there.
