Where we buy surplus wire in Kentucky

Five regions, thirty named communities and the routes between them. We do not keep a branch office in each town; we keep a truck schedule, and we plan pickups around the material rather than a postcode.

5 communities

Louisville metro

The largest concentration of industrial electrical inventory in Kentucky sits along the Ohio River between downtown Louisville and the Bullitt County line, and most of it is bought on a schedule nobody planned for.

Central Kentucky

The Bluegrass is Kentucky's automotive and advanced manufacturing corridor, and its electrical surplus runs to the heavy end: feeder reels, drive cable and control cable from plant expansions that finish ahead of the drawings.

Northern Kentucky

Northern Kentucky runs on logistics. The cargo hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and the warehouse corridors along I-75 and I-275 generate a steady supply of building and control cable from facilities that are constantly being reconfigured.

Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky pairs river industry with some of the state's heaviest electrical loads: aluminum plants, automotive assembly, food processing and a federal cleanup site that has been taking equipment apart for years.

Eastern Kentucky

Eastern Kentucky's electrical surplus comes from heavy industry in difficult terrain: steel and refinery work on the Ohio River, mine and preparation plant electrical systems, and plants strung along the I-75 corridor.

How coverage actually works

Most of Kentucky is within a day of one of our routes. Louisville, Lexington and northern Kentucky are the busiest because that is where the industrial base is. Western Kentucky pickups are usually grouped along I-65, I-24 and the Western Kentucky Parkway, and eastern Kentucky pickups are planned around US-23 and the Mountain Parkway where the grades make a difference to what truck we send.

Distance matters less than quantity. A single pallet of building wire in Pikeville is not worth a dedicated run, but four pallets of tray cable in Ashland and London are. When you send a request, tell us whether the material is ready to load and whether it can wait a week for a combined run.

We do not claim a physical office in every city on this site, and we do not publish a walk-in address. Everything is arranged by phone, email and the quote form, then collected by appointment.

Not sure if your town is covered?

Send the city and ZIP with the wire details. If it is in Kentucky, it is in scope.
